Item Description
7x7x10.75" tall tin litho canister once contained two gallons of "Capitol Motor Oil" produced by The Atlantic Refining Company. Tin was produced by Canco and has 1927 date code. Sides feature nice graphic of the US Capitol Building behind the large "Capitol" name. Atlantic logo (known to collectors as Atlantic's "Fried Egg" logo) also graces each side of tin. Contents have been emptied (w/nail hole for venting at one top corner), but original lid has been placed back over spout. Scattered wear in the form of small paint nicks/scratches and a few minor dents. Top/bottom have some loss to silver luster and top has minor scattered oxidation, but tin is Fine overall.
