Item Description
Like the previous item this 1.5" silver trade dollar with date of 1877 has been altered to remove the original design to the right and below Liberty. Beneath her body are a few lines which can be taken to form the shape of a potty although there is not a great deal of detail. In much clearer detail is an added hand engraved motto beneath the band of stars surrounding Liberty. This reads "On It For 90 Cts." The reverse of the trade dollar has not been altered and does carry an "S" mint mark. Details on each side are quite smooth but the added motto is easily visible. Rare and likely unique.
