Item Description
Items are 9/16" for the smallest gold bug up to 2-1/8" for the stickpin. Group begins with all brass lapel stud showing McKinley with text "Gold And Protection." Minor luster loss. Next is embossed brass shell badge with a design of eagle and stars representing a gold coin and with ribbon across the top inscribed "McKinley." Minor luster loss. Next is 7/8" celluloid button reading "I Am A Little Gold Bug." Reverse has .5" hairline cello split along the collet but cello lays flat. Back paper names W&H but also reads "Humane Supply Co. Medina, Ohio." Front celluloid has .5" hairline cello split just beneath the bug's feet but it is barely visible thanks to the black background. Next is figural embossed brass money bag with text "Sound $ Money." Next is brass token. The words Kappa Delta are represented by Greek letters (rather than being spelled out) but we will have to spell them out in our text. One side reads "Good For Amusement At Kappa Delta Parties Only" while other side reads "Kappa Delta A Gold Standard Sorority/No Inflation." Much luster. Next is figural and dimensional embossed brass shell gold bug with a lapel stud reverse. Next is figural and dimensional bug with long wings. This piece is hollow on the underside but holds a brass shaft that would have once had a clutch to secure it while being worn. A nice group of scarce and rare items.
