Item Description
DeWitt 1840-78. 7/8x1" brass frame holding glass insert with slogan, flag on pole, log cabin, tree, and pitcher sitting atop a barrel of hard cider. On an angle a few tiny air marks show against the black background but there is no loss of color. The piece has beveled edges and three of the corners are perfect while a fourth has a speck of missing glass essentially invisible unless viewed under magnification. Nice brass luster on the reverse and complete with the original "T" hinged pin although the shaft of the pin has a couple of minor bends. A gorgeous NM example.
