Item Description
1-11/16" tall in brass featuring art nouveau styled design on the hanger. Loops join a 1-3/16" brass medallion with profile portrait of Roosevelt at the center. In tiny text by his right shoulder is name of the designer "V.D. Brenner" (also the designer of the Lincoln penny). Raised text on the rim is "For Two Years Continuous Service On The Panama Canal." On the bottom edge is hand engraved the name "P. Zook." Center reverse shows the famous canal cut with a ship in the water and with text above "The Land Divided/The World United." On the rim edge is the text "Presented By The President Of the United States." On the bottom edge hand engraved is "No. 5606-A/1910-12". NM and the only Panama Canal worker's award we've been able to offer in five decades. Essentially Mint as issued.
