Item Description
Each 4-7/8" tall with Taft as Hake #3079 and Bryan unlisted in Hake. Top to bottom and front to back we will detail images and text on each, beginning with Taft. Top has crossed flags, followed by scene of army men with text "Regular Army Should Be Increased", followed by full figure TR beating big bass drum and text "Use T.R.'s Nerve Tonic For Business Troubles", followed by oval "For President" Taft portrait. Opposite side starts with "G.O.P." elephant followed by image of doughnut with center reading "Business Depression" and rim reading "Big Crops/Natural Resources" plus additional text "Look At The Doughnut Not The Hole", followed by ship and "Up Building Of Navy Must Be Continued" followed by oval with TR portrait and "No Man Is Above The Law And No Corporation So Wealthy That It Cannot Be Called To Account." Small scattered traces of wear and tarnish but overall Fine. Bryan begins with eagle at top followed by "White House", followed by cartoon of man bent over and with giant dinner pail on his back which reads "Tariff For Graft Only" with text above "The Fullest Dinner Pail", followed by oval portrait of Bryan "For President." Opposite side shows cannon and flags followed by image of U.S. Capitol and "The Election Of Senators By Direct Vote By The People", followed by cartoon of Uncle Sam looking at smoking factories with tiny men lined up outside and a sign "5,000 Men Wanted" plus added text "Eight Hour Law Should Be Extended." Followed by text on oval "Labor Organizations And Their Members Should Not Be Regarded As Illegal Combinations In Restraint Of Trade." Light wear, Fine and rare.
