Item Description
The first button is 7/8" with dusty back paper naming Pittsburgh company "M.E. Cunningham Co." The front has a little air under the cello plus a small air dot on the upper background and three very slight pinpoint surface rubs on the left. This team based in Pittsburgh was a member of the short-lived Federal League. They were a minor league in 1913 but a full-fledged outlaw major league over the next two years. Rare and Fine. The next three buttons are each 1.25" and these are the lead three buttons in the Muchinsky book on page 261. First button has Bastian paper while the other two have no paper or maker name. This first one naming "Gazette Times" and with text "Help 'Em Win The Pennant" has some light stain around the upper extreme rim edge. The other two buttons naming three different newspapers are both NM displaying Mint. All are scarce to rare. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
