Item Description
The three dimensional dolls are 6" to 11" tall with four of them made of fabrics while the one at the center is celluloid with jointed arms. This has an hardened and broken rubber band around the neck joining it to the 1.75" team name button. In spite of the rubber band damage the button and doll remain attached together. Two of the dolls hold an identical 2.25" "World Champs" button with cartoon pirate pitcher. The fourth doll of both fabric and celluloid has 1.75" button with close up portrait of a cartoon pirate and "National League Champs." Last doll of fabric with celluloid head wears 1.25" team name button. The button with all celluloid doll spells Pittsburgh as "Pittsburg" and is probably 1930s or earlier. The others are 1950s-60s. Small scattered age traces but no serious damage on any of the pieces which are all VF or better. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
