Item Description
22-1/8x24-1/8" thin cardboard poster for undated 1954 performance. Poster was printed by Globe Poster of Baltimore, MD and features photo image of Armstrong at bottom right, playing trumpet. Promotional text reads "In Person! The World's Greatest Trumpeter - Louis Armstrong - And His World Renowned Combo - Featuring Barney Bigard - Velma Middleton - Kenny John - Arvil S. Shaw - Billy Kyle - Trummy Young." Though poster is undated, Kenny John only played drums w/Armstrong for eight months in 1954, effectively dating this poster. Unused marquee at top has been trimmed and top/bottom margins both have pair of .25" tack pulls. Three .75" tears along right margin and .75" hole at upper right. VG overall, but most margin issues will mat for nice display.
