Item Description
22x24" thin cardboard poster for 1953 concert that featured R&B singer and pianist "That 'Chicken Shack Boogie' Man" Amos Milburn and His Big Little Band. Poster features photo image of Milburn playing piano at lower left and notes his association w/Aladdin Records, listing "Let Me Go Home, Whiskey; Hold Me Baby; Rooming House Boogie; Bad, Bad Whiskey; Real Pretty Mama Blues; Bewildered" and "Chicken Shack Boogie" song titles. Printed by Globe Poster of Baltimore, MD. Marquee at top has been trimmed, but does not appear to have been used. Moderate wear along top margin, w/1/8" and .25x.5" pieces missing and 1" tear. Left and bottom margins show wear w/small tears from posting and left margin and lower left bottom margin shows some glue residue. Upper right corner has archival tape repair to 2.25" corner tear. VG overall.
