Item Description
12.25x12.25" album cover for Billy Joel's fifth album "The Stranger," which was released Sept. 29, 1977. "The Stranger" served as Joel's critical and commercial breakthrough, spending six weeks at #2 on US album charts. It remains his best-selling non-compilation album to date, and was ranked number 70 on "Rolling Stone" magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Albums Of All Time." Front has been boldly signed in blue felt tip pen by Joel. Cover has some handling wear w/scattered creases along edges w/heavy 1/8" crease at top edge. 3/8" spot of staining at center left. Cover has slight ring wear. Fine/VF. Comes w/record and photo/lyric inner sleeve. Comes with Hake's COA and Roger Epperson/REAL LOA.
