Item Description
23.5x33" print on glossy stock paper presents humorous scene showing a piano and flute in bed together, the flute smoking a cigarette. This implied tryst was created by Roger Huyssen, who over the course of his long career as an artist in New York City has seen his work in a vast array of visual communication. His work started in the record industry, where he created close to 100 album covers for musical legends like Duke Ellington and James Brown to the classic iconic guitar spaceship for Boston. His unique style has been seen on movie posters, national advertising campaigns, and magazines, including over 20 "Time" magazine covers. This art was featured on Jean-Pierre Rampal and Claude Bolling's "Suite For Flute And Jazz Piano" album, released in 1975 by Columbia Masterworks. Print was printed by Kenner Printing Company, Inc. ©1982. Lower left has been hand-numbered "258/850" in pencil and lower right has been signed in pencil by the artist. Print has some scattered handling and margin wear and has been rolled. VF/Exc.
