Item Description
25x35" screenprint in colors signed in pencil at lower right edge of the art "E. Trova 1970" and with tiny text botton right (c) Pace Editions, Inc. 1970.
Left margin has full length slight creases, with one .25" edge tear, but creasing goes inward only .75" at most and the print will mat to mint appearance.  The print displays Trova's "Falling Man" first created in 1964 and later executed in a series of paintings, prints, sculptures and objects such as a kalidoscope Trova created for the Museum of Modern Art store. The image on this print was created in 1969 as a limitred edition print as part of a major exhibtion of Trova's work at New York's Pace Gallery, then and now, an important contemporary art gallery with worldwide locations The poster screenprint offered here was produced the following year for a Trova exhibition at the Pace Gallery branch in Columbus, Ohio. Trova (1927-2009) was one of Hake's earliest character toys collectors and he signed this print before giving it to Ted Hake, circa 1971.
