Item Description
Large 22.25x34.25" mat contains original tempura art that has been double-matted to 11x24" and depicts 1960s "Esquire Liquor Shop" w/shoppers and their cars outside. Front of store features "Esquire" signage that is very similar to that of the popular men's magazine of the same name, as well as top hat, glove and cane image, further driving home the similarities. Art has been signed "Luig" at lower right, but we are unsure of artist's full name. Mat has some edge wear and has had plastic wrap attached to protect the art when on display, but this is easily removed. Large and detailed art displays Exc. and would have looked right at home on the set of "Mad Men."
