Item Description
8.5x10-7/8" duplicate contract w/typed information concerning Oct. 21, 1967 concert date (for two concerts) at the Village Theatre in New York, NY. Contract is dated Sept. 7, 1967 and was between the American Federation of Musicians/Associated Booking Corporation and Otis Redding and the Otis Redding Orchestra. Contract has been signed in blue ink by Redding at bottom right. Contract notes specifications required performance, including "Artist To Receive 100% Sole Star Billing And Closing Of Show" as well as noting wage of $4,000 for the two concerts. Of note is the date, given that these concerts took place a little over a month before Redding's tragic death in a plane crash on Dec. 10, 1967. Contract has staple holes and .25" spot of staining at top left. Contract is o/w clean and VF/Exc. Nice signed piece that would great framed w/a photo. Comes with Hake's COA and Roger Epperson/REAL LOA.
