Item Description
Lot of four pieces issued as part of club materials by The Felber Biscuit Company of Columbus, OH in 1941. Lot includes original illustrated envelope w/"The Lone Ranger" return address. Envelope has been roughly opened and shows moderate aging w/some insect damage at one corner. VG. 5x8.5" typed letter on "The Felber Biscuit Company" letterhead notes admission to "The Lone Ranger Club." Letter also mentions enclosed membership card w/secret code on back for use w/coded messages sent through the mail or via radio. Letter also mentions Felber Pennant Toasts and other Pennant Products and has been folded as mailed w/two tiny edge nicks and some small areas of staining. VF. Lot also includes two 2-5/8x4" membership cards featuring Lone Ranger and Tonto portraits as well as the aforementioned secret code on back and typed names (neither matches name on envelope), w/one card having signed name in pencil. Scattered handling wear/dust soiling. Fine overall. Rare imprint and first we've seen in our 49 years.
