Item Description
Original cardboard box has lid w/illustrated label containing 14.5" long nicely detailed boat w/hard plastic hull and cabin, tin litho deck w/plated metal windshield, radar mast, etc. Full figure operator in nautical attire sits behind tin litho control panel. Small working compass mounted on bow deck. Made in West Germany by Schuco, 1950s. Slipcase style box shows scattered wear/aging w/fade to red lid and label. Label has .5" puncture and some inked numbers. 1.5" puncture on one end. Built-in box insert has .5" and 1" tears at die-cut insert corners w/two corner splits to platform. VG/Fine overall. Toy has been tested and prop turns as well as mast, however European batteries are needed for operation as American ones are slightly larger. Exc./NM.
