Item Description
8" long tin litho friction toy made in Japan by Marusan Toys, 1950s. Marusan also produced official "Coca-Cola" trucks in same exact style, but this "Coca-Soda" variant must have been produced after they no longer held the license. Cab has pair of small separate tin oval "Coca-Soda" signs on doors and truck bed has pair of larger signs reading "Coca-Soda - Delicious - Refreshing." It is interesting to note that the "Coca-Soda" name is in same small script style lettering as the classic "Coca-Cola" name/logo. Back of truck has image of glass w/pouring soda bottle and "Drink Coca-Soda Ice Cold" text. Comes w/pair of tin litho removable shelves containing simulated soda bottles as issued, all in tin litho. These show lt. wear and are VF overall. Truck is missing one hubcap. Scattered paint nicks/scratches and Fine overall w/working friction mechanism.
