First edition 8.5x11" hardcover graphic novel (w/dust jacket) published by Watson-Guptil Publications, ©1972 Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. Book features full color comic illustrations telling the first half of Edgar Rice Burroughs' classic novel "Tarzan Of The Apes" by noted artist Burne Hogarth (1911-1996), who provided the art for the "Tarzan Sunday page for 12 years (1937-1945 and 1947-1950). Title page has nice penciled profile image of Tarzan and has been inscribed "For Bob Greberman With Warmest Personal Regards, Burne Hogarth And Tarzan May 1986" in black ink. DJ shows edge wear w/some creases and small tears at top of spine. Fine. Book itself is Exc. Charlie Roberts Collection.
