Item Description
17.5x23" first printing poster for July 23, 1977 concert that took place in Oakland, CA that featured Led Zeppelin and Derringer. Poster art by Randy Tuten features large Led Zeppelin-style spaceship hovering over futuristic cityscape. Tuten has signed in silver paint pen at lower right. After the concert, a Bill Graham staffer was severely beaten for asking Peter Grant's (Led Zeppelin's manager) child to return signs that were torn down from dressing room doors. After being kicked by Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, Zeppelin "security forces" locked the Bill Graham employee in a trailer and proceeded to beat him. Despite Bill Graham signing a letter of indemnification absolving Zeppelin from responsibility from the assault, Bonham, Grant and two security members were later arrested. Poster has some minor corner tip wear but is still Exc. overall.
