Item Description
Size 16, 2" dia. Illinois Sangamo Special Yellow Gold-filled Open Face pocket watch. Back of case has engraved monogram and screws off, revealing presentation engraving that reads "Paul S. Kingsbury - From Students & Faculty Of Springfield High School - 1920" on interior of case back. When removed "Sangamo - 23 Jewels - Special - Motor Barrel" text, serial number and inner mechanisms are revealed. White porcelain dial marked w/black numerals w/sub seconds dial at 6 o'clock position. 1918. Serial number 3353394. Dial has small "Illinois" name at top center. Hairline at 12 o'clock numeral and lt. hairline radiates from center w/tiny spot of discoloration by center post. Case back has some lt. wear, but still bright and glossy w/much luster. Running. Fine overall.
