Item Description
Size 16, 2" dia. Illinois Watch Co. 14 Karat Yellow Gold Hunting Case pocket watch. Inside of front case has portrait of woman, which has tiny 1/16" spot of bubbling at lower neck. Back of case has engraved monogram and opens to reveal second case door that has been engraved w/"Presented To Bro. P. C Frank Popp By Gen. Wayne Council 48 Jr. O.U.A.M. For Faithful Service - Dec. 7 '09." O.U.A.M. refers to Order of United American Mechanics. Inner case door opens to reveal engraved "17 Jewels" text, serial number and inner mechanisms. Outside rim has tiny engraved text, though this is not really legible. White porcelain dial marked w/black numerals, minutes in ten second increments in red numerals plus sub seconds dial at 6 o'clock position. 1909. Serial number 29999953. Dial has small "Illinois Watch Co." name at top center. Scattered lt. wear to case and watch cover but is o/w bright and clean. Running and Fine/VF overall.
