Item Description
40mm case with replaced lightly faded screen printed metal bezel insert and rounded crown guards. Printed between lugs at top is "Registered Design 1675" and at bottom "Serial Number 146XXXX." A few light pin point indentations consistent with moderate daily use. Has a gloss, "Swiss" only, chapter ring dial with luminescence on hour markers each having vintage touch ups. Dial reads "Rolex/Oyster-Perpetual/GMT-Master/Superlative Chronometer/Officially Certified." Skeleton hands are silver and GMT hand has small arrow that is missing it's lume and has a tiny spec of missing red paint. Movement is a Cal. 1560, rhodium plated, 26 jewel lever escarpment with monometallic balance adjusted to five positions and temperatures. It is not currently running but the rotor does move freely. Crystal appears to be original or replaced very early on with proper cyclops date magnification. Case, dial, and movement are signed and overall the piece displays Fine/VF. A scarce example of an early tool watch by Switzerland's most recognizable brand. See additional detailed photos online.
