Item Description
13-3/8x17.75" mat has 5.5x7.5" opening w/small print of "Night Passage" movie poster, the 1957 Western that starred Audie Murphy and James Stewart. Larger 7.5x9.5" opening has glossy photo of Murphy and Stewart. Murphy (1925-1971), was one of the most decorated American combat soldiers of World War II, receiving every military combat award for valor available from the US Army as well as the Medal of Honor and French and Belgian awards for heroism. After the war, Murphy became an actor, tragically dying in a plane crash at the age of 45. Murphy has signed in blue felt tip pen while Stewart has signed in silver paint pen, which is lt. in a few areas, but still fully legible. A rarely seen combination of autographs. Displays Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
