5.75x8.25" hardcover w/324 pages and original dust jacket. Written by Harper Lee (1926-2016), this is the "Thirty-Fifth Anniversary Edition" printed in 1995 by Harper Collins. First published by the J.B. Lippincott Company in 1960, it was immediately successful, winning the Pulitzer Prize, and has become a classic of modern American literature. The plot and characters are loosely based on the author's observations of her family/neighbors, as well as on an event that occurred near her hometown. The novel is renowned for its warmth and humor, despite dealing w/the serious issues of rape and racial inequality. Atticus Finch, has served as a moral hero for many readers and serves as a model of integrity for lawyers. Harper has boldly signed in blue felt tip pen on title page. DJ has some corner tip wear and is VF overall. Book is NM. This book was signed by Lee at a small event at a store owned by a friend in her hometown in 1996. Comes with Hake's COA and PSA/DNA LOA.
