Item Description
17-1/8x23-1/8" cardboard-backed tin litho sign features great full body image of legendary boxer Sullivan w/"Well Earned Supremacy - John L. Sullivan - Super Champion" text at top right and Hohenadel name at bottom right w/repeated "'Well Earned Supremacy'" slogan. Back has American Art Works, Inc. of Coshocton, OH maker's name. 1930s. Sign has some handling wear w/minor bends to metal and 14" hairline scratch across Sullivan's body. Some scattered pinpoint spots of oxidation w/more moderate bend at lower left. Fine overall.
