Item Description
"Safe At Home!" is a 1962 sports comedy film starring MLB players Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris of the New York Yankees as well as William Frawley and Don Collier, w/appearances by New York Yankees Whitey Ford and Ralph Houk. The film tells a story about a young boy who lies to his Little League teammates, telling them he knows Mantle and Maris and will bring them to their team banquet. He attempts to meet his heroes during spring training by sneaking into the stadium and into their hotel room at the Yankee Clipper Hotel. Offered here is 27x41" one-sheet movie poster for the film's original 1962 release. Poster features great image of Mantle and Maris in uniform w/bats, the boy between the two baseball stars. Poster was originally folded but has been professionally linen-mounted. As such, poster shows typical wear along fold lines w/some wear along margins. Lower left has 1.5" corner crease and top/bottom center margin have tiny 1/8" spot of discoloration. Poster is in its original state w/no restoration and displays VF. As nice as they come.
