Item Description
1" dia. brass press pin w/enamel paint accents. Pin features Yankees baseball cap at center in front of two crossed bats. "World Series - 1961 - Yankee Stadium - Press" text surrounds edges. Threaded post and cap on reverse plus "Balfour" maker name. NM. Comes in original plastic case. Comes w/3.25x6.75" die-cut stiff paper press pass w/"Yankees" logo at top and "1961 World Series" text. Pass is numbered "142" and granted "Baseball Writers Ass'n" members press access to "Clubhouse" as noted at bottom. Unused and NM. The 1961 World Series matched the New York Yankees against the Cincinnati Reds, w/the Yankees winning in five games to earn their 19th championship in 39 seasons.
