Item Description
Pair of 4-3/8" dia. coasters w/brass rims and porcelain inserts. Each features different design and was issued by Ballantine Beer in 1956 after the Yankees won the World Series and in commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of Ballantine's sponsorship of the team. One features "Yankees" logo at center and is surrounded by the facsimile signatures of the entire 1956 team roster, including - Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Phil Rizzuto, Whitey Ford, Billy Martin, Casey Stengel and others. The other features image of baseball diamond w/"Yankees" and Ballantine logos and "Yankee Day In Newark - June Twelfth 1956 - Honoring The Occasion Of Our 10 Years Together" text. A few spots of tarnish/discoloration to brass but o/w VF. Scarce as these were presented to team members, front office managers and VIPs.
