Item Description
12.25x18.5" w/8 pages. Cover featured art image of Charlie Chaplin's Little Tramp character outline standing in front of audience. Contents advocate the usefulness of "The Comic Weekly" Sunday pages to potential advertisers and shows images of Skippy, Jiggs, Mac, Tillie the Toiler, Popeye, Barney Google and Felix the Cat. Publication also promotes advantages of advertising w/Comic Weekly and lists companies that participate, some of which include Ovaltine, Grape-Nuts, Jell-O, Lux soap, Aunt Jemima pancake flour and Vicks nose/throat drops. c. 1932. Moderate handling wear w/pinch creases to spine, cover overlap shows wear at margins. Cover is VG while pages remain clean and VF. Scarce promotional publication which saw limited distribution primarily to large consumer-oriented companies' advertising departments or agencies. This is the only example we've offered in our 49 years.
