Item Description
15" tall hollow painted plaster statue. 1940. Unlike some of these statues that were painted in odd colors, this example has been nicely painted in correct colors w/mouth and eyes paint accents. These statue usually features Superman's "S" symbol painted on, but this example features incised shield symbol which has been nicely highlighted in copper paint. Underside of base has shallow 1x1.5" flake, but this does not affect display and statue is o/w Exc. Nicest example of any Superman carnival statue we've seen in our 49 years. Eric Renner Collection and the example shown on page 117 of his book "American Disguise."
