Item Description
Original envelope w/illustrated "Superman-Tim" return address comes w/8.5x11" typed letter dated Aug. 7, 1947 and addressed to same name as on envelope. Letter also has "Wells & Coverly, Inc. - Superman-Tim Store" text matching envelope. Letter features faint bkg. image of Superman and mentions gift of "Birthday Pie." Folded as issued, letter has lt. even aging and aside from faint .25" spot at top center, is Exc. Envelope shows scattered handling wear and has faint inked names on reverse. Fine/VF. Comes w/3.5x5.5" card w/image of Superman and Tim w/his dog and features connect-the-dots 'Happy Birthday" message. This has been lightly gone over in pencil and has inked recipient name on reverse w/stamp and postal mark w/Feb 2, 1947 postmark. Recipient name is different from that of letter. VF.
