Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 11.5" tall painted tin and plastic robot made in Japan by Asakusa, 1957. Asakusa was known primarily for producing battery-operated model cars. This was their first and only robot. Box is complete w/cardboard insert and features wonderful lid illustrations and has some corner tip/edge wear. Fine overall. Robot's functions include spinning plastic rotor blades on top of head, light-up blinking panel on forehead, arms raise forward, displaying machine guns that fire as robot moves forward, stopping every so often. All functions work and robot is NM.
