Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 4.5" tall by 8" dia. tin litho saucer w/plastic dome. Made in Japan by Masudaya/Modern Toys, 1960s. This is first version box featuring colorful graphics of toy flying through space on main lid panel and three of four side panels; the fourth panel demonstrating toy's bump-and-go action. Box has sliver off one lid corner and shows even aging and some corner tip wear. Grease pencil price on main lid panel. Lid has some corner/edge creases. Box is Fine overall. Toy's plastic dome has tin interior w/dials and tin litho seated astronaut. Toy works w/non-stop action and produces loud clicking/beeping sound. Lights flash in sequence while astronaut moves around inside dome. NM w/great design/action.
