Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 8.25" long tin litho and hard plastic spaceship made in Japan by TADA/Seisakusho, 1960s. Box has moderate creasing and some corner tip wear including 1" split at lower left corner of main lid panel and tape on one side corner. VG. Toy has "Space Ship" name at front w/"X-8 Scouting" text on both fins. Tin litho accent areas include rear engines and ship's plastic cockpit dome contains recessed tin litho control room area w/tin litho spaceman at controls. Separate tin litho radar screen inserts into mounted rubber gasket and ship features raised green plastic area in center. Functions include - Mystery Action, blinking headlight, swivel light engine, revolving antenna and beeping noise. Works. Ship has a few tiny nicks and some factory touch-up to red areas of fins and front. VF/Exc.
