Item Description
6x12.25x4.75" illustrated cardboard box w/photo illustrated box label contains 9.5" long hard plastic tank w/clear bubble over gunner above turret. Remco, c. 1967. Originally issued in 1964 as part of the "Hamilton Invaders" series of Remco toys that were later converted into Star Trek items to capitalize on the show's popularity. Box shows scattered moderate aging to end flaps and shows some scattered wear including 2" tear (w/repair) and some staining at lower right. Bottom left has .5x2.5" long streak of surface paper lift. VG. Set originally came w/three soft plastic generic army men (red instead of Hamilton's blue figures), this example has two. Two of four separate 1" long plastic shells (that tank can fire) are included. Star Trek federation symbol sticker on front of tank has some age spotting but o/w set is Exc. A desirable item from the show's initial airing. All items from this line are rare, especially as boxed. First we've offered. See following item #2366.
