Item Description
Pair of approx. 20x20.5" artboards w/vellum overlays that have attached dialog paste-over strips. Artboards have pen and ink w/inkwash original art by Jack Davis titled "Mad Rattlers" dealing w/people who talk too much. Each artboard features three panels; including man trying on suits (and tailor's patience), rich man talking to hotel elevator operator, man berating cab driver, man placing complicated restaurant order, man not letting barber get word in and man taking too long in public telephone booth. Published in "MAD" Magazine #164 in Jan. 1974. Some of the dialog strips have come loose and are missing, leaving some glue staining to overlays. Margins have scattered editorial notations. Bottom of each has issue number/story title/story page number in red/black felt tip pen. Artboards are evenly aged but art remains clean and Exc.
