Item Description
Pair of artboards, measuring 20x24" and 20x23.5". Both feature  mixed media original art by George Woodbridge (1930-2004) for "MAD" Magazine #82 (Oct. 1963). Art was for two-page "What If Hollywood Were To Follow The Trend Toward Long And Pretentious Titles For TV Dramas" cartoon which features filmstrip border w/four separate panels featuring King Kong, The Three Stooges (w/Curly Joe), Alfred Hitchcock (Hitchcock is 4.5x6" paste-over w/original art) and "The Birds" as well as Chubby Checker. These panels are presented as roadside billboards w/large areas for expansive and unnecessary text describing the film/act as printed in magazine. Scattered editorial notations at margins. Pin holes at corners. Artboard has aged but art remains clean and Exc. Comes w/reading copy of the issue this art was published in.
