Item Description
1" dia. pinback button picturing elf-like character surrounded by "Fun Club - Ask Me" text and tiny "The Spirit Of Good Clean Fun" text. Red "Clean Comics - Clean Words - Clean Shows - Clean Books" text around rim edge. Made by Bastian Bros. Co. and complete w/their backpaper. Issued to promote historic comic book launched in late 1934 under the title "New Fun" (later titled "More Fun"), becoming the early cornerstone of the DC Comics empire. We believe this rare comic book "club" button was issued in 1935. Trace of fade to all red but green remains deep, vibrant and as issued. Trace of surface wear really only visible in reflected light, but still totally bright and glossy. VF. Rare.
