Item Description
Pair of 13/16" dia. pinback buttons for comic book titles published by United Features Syndicate. First is dark blue on bright gold w/"A Tip Top Comics Booster" text. "Tip Top Comics" began April 1936 and this button is from that era w/its original backpaper from obscure button company "Simon Co., N.Y.C." Backpaper is aged but front is NM. Second is bright gold on dark blue w/"Comics On Parade Booster" text. "Comics On Parade" began April 1938 and this button is from that era w/original Simon Co. backpaper. NM. Both buttons are rare; this being only our fifth Tip Top button and second Parade button in our 49 years. True rarities for the comic book historian.
