Item Description
11x17". Produced by the Harlem Defense Council. Liebowitz shot and killed Nelson Erby on July 15, 1965, a day before the first anniversary of James Powell's killing that set off the 1964 Harlem riots. See pervious lot for 1964 Harlem Riot history. Three horizontal folds, moderate handling wear and a faint light brown stain in the field near the edge directly left of the text "Liebowitz." Fine. Rare civil rights artifact.
