Item Description
14x22" poster for Feb. 7-9, 1969 concerts at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA featuring The Youngbloods, Lee Michaels ad Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Poster art by Rick Griffin features his iconic flying eyeball holding up a Hopi ceremonial mask while clutching cobras in its talons over pile of skulls. Additionally, another snake circles eyeball as a belt of sorts. Griffin (1944-1991) has boldly signed in copper paint pen at lower right. Poster has some scattered handling wear including corner tip creases and a few creases along margins. Fine.
