Item Description
Set of five photo illustrated cardboard boxes contains complete set of five 4.5" tall painted die-cast metal and plastic articulated figures. Made in Japan for the Japanese market by Bandai, 1987. "Hikari Sentai Maskman" was Toei's eleventh entry of the Super Sentai series (which served as the source material for several US Power Rangers series). It aired on TV Asahi from Feb. 28, 1987 to Feb. 20, 1988, w/a total of 51 episodes. Its international English title as listed by Toei is simply "Maskman." Each box features character-specific illustrations w/photos of the Maskmen's alter egos. Black Maskman comes in Pink Maskmen box. Each box has remnant of original Japanese store price stickers. Boxes show lt. scattered wear and are VF overall. Figures each come w/separate blaster that fit into attached holsters. Figures have some lt. dust soiling and white areas of uniforms have even lt. aging.
