Item Description
Robert Crumb helped found the underground Comix movement and is regarded as its most prominent figure. As an artist, illustrator and musician recognized for his distinctive style, Crumb is one of the most celebrated of comic book artists despite his entire career taking place outside the mainstream comic book publishing industry. Offered here is a 23.5x27.5" artist's proof print published in 1995. Art features Crumb himself viewing leaf blowing through wind, uttering "This, To Me, Is Sheer Poetry." Print has been signed in pencil by Crumb at lower right and has been hand-lettered "Not For Sale" at lower left. Upper left shows obvious wear w/faint ripple and scattered dust soiling. Fine overall, but art could be matted and framed for an Exc. display.
