Item Description
18.25x19.5". Titled in pencil along top margin "The Schoolmaster And The Teachers." A large illustration of Roosevelt w/one hand on a globe and the other pointing w/text "I Would Not Have You Preach An Impossible Ideal." At the base of the globe is a Teddy Bear standing atop a book steadying the globe. Inscribed at lower right "To Irving Townson Jr. With Best Wishes" and signed boldly "C. K. Berryman 1909." Pin holes at corners and trivial loss at bottom right and left corners. A small area of tears two 1" and two .25" along right edge about a third of the way from top. These do not affect any of the original art and are in a blank area of the paper. VG w/image remaining bold and Exc. A striking piece of original art by the famed artist featuring his most iconic character. Professionally framed and ready for display upon delivery.
