Item Description
7" long. Allison was a hopeful at the 1896 Republican National Convention that nominated William McKinley. The dark horse candidate's support faded when it became evident the McKinley would be nominated on the first ballot. Allison ended up receiving 35.5 votes in a distant fifth place. This badge is in outstanding condition w/no loss of silver lettering and remains essentially Mint. Rare.
