Item Description
First is large 2.25" button without dot pattern and with facsimile artist's signature at lower left with the last name appearing to be "Reid." Issued for single day event "Sept. 13, 1904 Topeka, Kan" with a concave metal back and bar pin plus an applied sticker reading "Made By John F. Strickrott/Topeka Kansas." On the front light marks around "Sept." are not stain but rather small dust clouds the race horse is kicking up. One of only two examples we've seen in our 49 years. High gloss and essentially Mint. Next is 1.5" with W&H paper from the early 1900s. Text reads "Dan Patch/Fastest Harness Horse In The World/M.W. Savage, Owner/He Eats 'International Stock Food' Every Day." Tiny age on the back paper but the cello is NM displaying Mint. A pair of outstanding horse racing buttons.
