9-5/8x14-3/8" slipcover contains hardcover book w/dust jacket and 219 pages. Written by Ray Wyman, Jr. and published by The Blue Rose Press, Inc. ©1992 Jack Kirby. Book features superb design as well as extensive and comprehensive contents that include a Kirby biography and countless examples of his comic art, including images of his famous comic covers and interior pages as well as specialty art, etc. This special edition has color bookplate featuring image of Balder and bears hand-inked "296" of 1,000 edition number on frontispiece. This is followed by a special insert vellum page that has been boldly signed in black felt tip pen by Jack Kirby (1917-1994), and lays over large photo portrait of the famous artist. Exc./NM.
