Item Description
11.25x17" Marvel Comics artboard features artist Rob Liefeld's pen and ink original art for a splash page/pin-up featuring the Image Comics Bezerkers team from the comic book title of the same name. Liefeld became prominent due to his work on Marvel Comics' "The New Mutants" and later "X-Force," going on to co-create popular anti-hero Deadpool. In 1992, he and several other popular Marvel illustrators left the company to found Image Comics, which started a wave of comic books owned by their creators rather than by publishers. In 1995, the series "Berzerkers" began. This c. mid-1990s art features the team of five super-powered inmates - Greylore, Hatchet, Psi-Storm, Cross and Wildmane (a team that served as a thinly veiled X-Men clone). Exc.
