Item Description
27x40.75" one-sheet for the original 1940 release of the Universal Pictures serial. This is for Chapter 4, "The Destroying Ray." Posters were issued for each chapter of this serial, and each featured different art. This poster features great scene showing Flash Gordon in arena, facing down a charging bull-like alien. Smaller image of him at bottom w/Dale Arden and Dr. Zarkov. Additional Dale image at lower left. Poster has been folded as issued and has pin holes at corners w/.5" pull at upper left. Strips of aged tape at top/bottom center margins. Margins show wear w/small tears along fold creases and at edges as well as more moderate wear at fold crease intersections resulting in small holes 1/8" to .25". "Flash" portion of title has area of staining to last letter which continues upward but blends somewhat. Staining is more noticeable on reverse. There are also two small holes by the last letter of "Flash," one is 1/8" while other is .25". Displays VG.
